Ciampino Airport

The Roma Ciampino airport is inserted into the Rome airport system, coupled with the airport L. Da Vinci (more information on www. adr.it ). In recent years air traffic at Ciampino has multiplied, as this airport was taken as the airport of reference for the main airlines.

Airport G.B. Pastine Ciampino Airport is located 15 km south-east of Rome, walking distance from the GRA, and, despite its name, is located within the City of Rome. The airport, with over 5 million passengers annually, is the second busiest in the capital of Italy, after Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport, and its activities are mainly dedicated to charter flights and low-cost (Ryanair, EasyJet, Wizz Air and Centralwings). The airport consists of one terminal and the proximity to residential areas prevents further development. Ciampino airport is also an important military base and then stop ideal in terms of safety for most visiting dignitaries in Rome and Italy.
