Ostia Antica, discover the history of Rome
Ancient Ostia (from Latin ostium - the mouth) was a Roman coastal town on the Tyrrhenian Sea, founded by Quiriti who wish to adopt a natural outlet to the sea. Now is about 2 km from the coast. It was the port of ancient Rome and perhaps its first colony.
