Province: Environment and Territory
The Province of Rome has a wide variety of natural environments, representing a wealth of biodiversity of particular importance and interest, which affects not only natural habitats but also different species of flora and fauna. The province insists approximately 20.9% of all domestic natural areas. Within this natural heritage within the regional parks that are of particular natural interest, as well as cultural history. The Province of Rome Lazio scored from the direct management of five of these protected areas, set up by the Lazio Region.
This occurs through a responsible management activities, planning and regulation particularly in view and with the objective of preserving the great natural heritage of the province, without neglecting the development of the province and its production realities, but always with a view to environmental sustainability. As regards the aspects related to environmental issues, the Province of Rome plays a major information activities, education and awareness of the community managed. The protection, preservation and enhancement of the natural heritage of the Province of Rome is being pursued through careful activity aimed at issuing permits related to persistent interventions in the province and agroforestry interventions insistent on forestry heritage of the Province of Rome, the objective of ensuring compliance with the Territory into account and report its morphological characteristics. In this context, the Administration also plays an active geological surveys aimed at monitoring, conservation and land management.
