Public and private transport in Rome

In the historical center of the city there is a prohibition of unauthorized access to cars. It is therefore advisable to park outside the traffic zone and then take the city bus, metro or, better still, walk.



BUS AND TRAM

The system Metrebus Rome offers a wide variety of tickets and passes:

· BIT (€ 1.00) takes 75 minutes from stamping;

· Multibit (€ 5.00) -5 bits in a single-ticket that can be used as five separate BIT also on different days;

· Big (€ 4.00) that the internal hard day for an unlimited number of trips;

· BTI (€ 11,00)-tourist ticket-valid for three days from the date specified by the customer and an unlimited number of trips;

· Paper Weekly (€ 16.00) which lasts seven days from the date specified by the customer and for an unlimited number of trips.

There are also monthly and annual subscriptions Metrebus Rome.

The system consists of Metrebus Lazio tickets and passes.
Tickets are:

· Day (BIRG) valid until 24:00 the day of stamping and for unlimited travel on parts purchased;

· Tourism (BTR) valid three days after the date specified by the customer and an unlimited number of trips;

· Paper Weekly (CIRS), covering the first seven days of validation for an unlimited number of trips and as regards the areas purchased.

Monthly and annual subscriptions are areas and are valid for unlimited travel within the zones.

UNDERGROUND

A line from Anagnina to Battistini has 27 stations, crossing the capital from Southeast to Northwest.
The first race is at 05.30 and the service usually ends at 23.30.

Line B runs from 05.30 until 23.30.
The line from B to Rebibbia Laurentina has 22 stations, crossing the capital from South to North-East.

The regional railway Roma-Ostia Lido connecting the city. And 'runs from 05:18 hours until 23.30.
Provides thirteen stops, with an average total journey time of 37 minutes.

The regional railway Roma-Pantano is open from 05.30 to 21.30, consists of thirty long stops with an average total journey time of 36 minutes.

PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

Passengers with impaired mobility can be used for the section from Piazza Risorgimento Piazza Cinecittà (parallel to the meter) the local line 590, equipped to transport wheelchair with motor disabilities.

FROM / TO Fiumicino and Ciampino airports

1 - Fiumicino

A Leonardo Express train connects Fiumicino Airport to Termini Station every 30 minutes with a journey that takes about 30 minutes without stops.

2 - Ciampino

A bus from the airport to Termini railway station or to Anagnina underground.

Blue Belt

In most central areas of the city, there are authorized to pay parking areas enclosed by blue lines (the yellow delimit the space where you can park.) Hourly rate: ranges from 1.00 euro to 1.20 per area. After 20 (in some cases 23) until 8 am parking is free.
The ticket to be displayed on the dashboard you can buy both the vending machines (coins only) and at tobacconists and newsagents.
